Surat Thani
People visit Surat Thani because it's the gateway to so much of Thailand's beauty, especially its Gulf Coast islands. From here, you'll be able to visit Ko Phangan (an island best explored via motorcycle), Ko Samui (known for marvelous beaches and waterfalls) and the 42 rainforest islands of Ang Thong National Marine Park.
