Koh Yao means "long Island" is a big island of Phang-Nga province between Phuket and Krabi. Most of the mountainous area stretches along the length of the island from north to south, covered by forest. There is a flat area on the edge of the mountain used for rice farming and other crops. The coastline is rich in local fisheries and peaceful beaches, and it is convenient to take a boat trip to the beautiful islets that are not far away.
